Planet of the SLASH CONTEST!

Just one entry showcased tonight, but that’s because this one’s a doozy.  While this entry from Colleen Farley is technically just Jason x Sal, there’s a whole buncha other Dumbing of Age folks in the crowd you can pick out, if you’re savvy.  And man do you gotta be savvy.  I’m gonna let you folks try, and if no one guesses them all correctly, then I’ll give y’all the answer later.  Be warned, some of these guys have only shown up in one or two strips, and one of them doesn’t even have a name yet!

Don’t let the game distract you too much from the wonderful art itself.  I love that the only color in the piece is the blush on Jason and Sal’s cheeks.

    Whew, that’s a hard game! My guesses, left to right:

    Woman standing: Sierra, cuz her hair is in her face?
    Man talking to her: A big tall guy macking on Sierra, probably Joe, maybe Beef?
    Short guy looking out window: Danny? (wearing a hoodie?)
    Woman standing, wearing the rag on her head: Sarah (only b/c of the rag)
    Woman sitting: Mandy? Roz? Just b/c of the glasses.
    Man on right, wearing a letterman jacket: the guy who punched Danny on the first day?

      So very, very close. All but one.

    Technically, there’s plenty of non-grey in the picture. Everything pictured here is imperfectly grey, and the traces of red on Jason’s right hand and Sal’s left elbow, shoulder, and ear are even noticeable to the naked eye in the large version of this picture.

    I did this (programmatically, so don’t worry about hours spent laboriously checking each pixel) because I’m not savvy.

    Conquest, Joe, Jason, Sal, Danny (hard to tell without seeing his face, but Danny likes hoodies and is short), Sarah, Mandy (who I totally never would’ve known without Jason making that guess first, but it does fit), Beef.

    Well, based on process of comparison, there are only two possible combinations, and I’m going with the one that includes someone who doesn’t yet have a name.

    Conquest, Joe, Jason, Sal, Danny, Sarah, Mandy, and guy who punched Danny on the first day

    Well, the obvious ones are Sal, Jason, and Sarah. And Willis has confirmed that Jason and Cariss had different ones wrong, it suggests logically that the ones that they both guessed are correct. This confirms that Danny is the one who’s facing away, Joe is the muscular guy behind the couch, and that Mandy is the girl with the glasses.

    That leaves only the girl on the far left and the guy on the far right. I’m about 99% sure that the girl is Conquest, which is the one that Jason got wrong. That just leaves the “Guy who bullied Danny” as the last remaining contender, especially since he is WAY too skinny to be Beef.

    So, based on their guesses and Willis’ hints, I agree with lightsabermario.
