Too bad I couldn’t go to the Expo this year, I’m stuck up here in Edmonton for the weekend though.

I was just saying to my husband that it would be awesome if you were at the expo. Will be stopping by your booth tomorrow!

It’s cool. Calgary is more like the Dallas of Alberta.
Patrick
Wouldn’t it be the Fort Worth of Alberta? Calgary has the Stampede, doesn’t it?

Unrelated query, but — has anyone considered another of the implications of Willis’ buffer? That being that he can put extra strips in-between stuff? (Like if he has a meeting between two characters occurring in four weeks which he draws two strips for, then comes up with an idea for a third strip, draws that, and puts that in between the original two strips.)
It’s certainly not likely (though that’s more because of the precarious balance of Friday cliffhangers and the generally good pacing making extra strips unnecessary), but it doesn’t entirely eliminate the possibility of comics inspired by comments (within a certain time-frame, at least).
The possibility of comics inspired by comments is eliminated by a whole other set of reasons, but okay, it doesn’t entirely eliminate the possibility of…future-retconning-not-yet-happening-past-events–okay I lost my point.

Moving stuff around in comicpress is super annoying and with a 8 week buffer would take hours to accomplish.
Notebooked
Oh well. Myth buffered.

I think you’re just trying to keep the dream alive that he could someday put something in the comic based on what people were saying in the comment section. 😉
We actually do the Cowboy Hat thing, but mostly at Stampede. Calgary Expo was for cosplay and Ultracar porn.
Intie
Ahhahaha
I don’t get it.
I wish I understood American jokes ;_;

Austin is liberal, as opposed to the rest of conservative, gun-toting, everything’s-bigger Texas.
I only recently heard that joke myself, and I’m Californian, so don’t worry about it. 😐
Hinoron
As a general rule, Canada’s conservatives are more liberal than the USA’s liberals.
Hinoron
Our liberalest liberals, to the best of my knowledge, live mostly in BC, are stoned 24/7, and log 12-hour days in World of Warcraft. They’re so congenial, they’d agree to be set on fire if you phrased it nicely.
Sadly, this archetype of Canadian rarely makes it to the voting stations. Be very interesting place to live if they suddenly all did. ^_^
Neospector
To be honest, I think that if voting was (somehow safely) implemented online, every election in the world would hit 100% turnouts.
Because, you know, who on earth would ever care who’s making decisions, so long as they don’t have to commute a block or two to a school or other polling place… >_<
Stephen
I went to Lake Louise in the mountains yesterday…..it was snowing…..yeah…..

I’ll be sure to ask if it was good for you later.

Everyone knows that Edmonton is the Austin of Alberta. Calgary is Dallas, Lloydminster is El Paso and Ft. Macmurray is San Antonio.
nitpicker
How luck that you don’t have a Houston equivalent.
Beyla
Why no love for the H-Town? We got Beyonce. That has to count for something.
Ivan
Well, Canada does… it’s called Sarnia.
Raen
The cowgirl logo… is the cowgirl look big in Alberta, or is it just a (reaching) pun on “Calgary”?
Raen
I suddenly realize Captain Alberta does look a bit cowboy-ish, now that I think about it…

Google “Calgary Stampede”.
