Did you know A.A. Milne’s first Winnie-The-Pooh book was published in 1926, and so is now public domain in the United States? Did you know that means that, legally, you can make any Winnie-The-Pooh merchandise based on that original version, so long as you steer clear of any later, red-shirted derivatives? Huh! Weird! Great info!
and did you also know that teepublic will just take down shirts automatically following ownership claims even if the item description is literally about how it’s now public domain because of how it’s public domain now, and so maybe hiveworks just might have to sell the shirt themselves, also weird
lots of weird stuff going on

They copyright laws keep changing due to Disney lawyers… every time Disney characters approach public domain, their lawyers lobby to extend the copyright window. For example, “Steamboat Willie” goes PD in two years… watch them scramble very soon…..

I like that you used the pineapple slut shirt from Brooklyn 99.

I’m honestly surprised you didn’t make the default color of the shirt red, just for the added sass.

If these webshops sell internationally, I guess they can’t ignore that Milne’s work is copyrighted till 70 years after his death in 1956. Like, according to British copyright law (and European, by the way).
