      Walky’s kind of a dick in general but he’s been extra rude to Joyce pretty much every time they’ve had a conversation. He’s insulted her, her beliefs, her parents, her pastor, her goals (despite him only being there in the first place because his parents made him), her opinions, keeps calling her friendship with Dorothy a display of homosexual lust, insults her right in front of her, only apologises because Dorothy makes him and there’s his sarcastic dismissal of literally anything he doesn’t agree with, which is almost everything Joyce ever says. She really has no reason at all to like him.

          Meh. I was raised non-religious, but for some reason my parents thought sending me to the Christian kindergarten was a good idea. (The public, non-religious one wasn’t even farther away or anything.)
          Anyway, first thing on the first day, they all gather around and start singing songs I had never heard. It was creepy as hell. Fortunately my folks picked up on how I felt and switched me over to the normal place, and sanity resumed.

    As for the poll, the current results reflect my own feelings. Technically I think it’s a web of character stories, but if I had to choose a character suited closest to the term ‘main character’, it would be Joyce. I feel she has more ties to the other characters than anyone else so far..or she just seems to interact more with the other characters.
    Another good question would be who do you think are the major characters vs minor? Like every week a new person, – “Joyce, Major or Minor? Joe Major or Minor? Sal, Major or Minor? Mike, Major or Minor?” I’d say Major, Minor, Minor, Minor respectively, but I have a feeling it could go either way for Mike and overwhelmingly Major for Sal. Who knows though, right?

      Drawing the dongs was merely Joyce panicing when she realised the first one she drew wouldn’t come off. Her breakdown when confronted about it was her flashing back to the near-rape trauma. Amazi-Girl is cutting her some slack because she understands what it’s like to panic and do something stupid.

    Looking back, I think Willis was making an inside joke about Joyce and Walky’s relationship. I’m wondering if it was intentional or coincidence?
