          I think with mine I sound like I’m about to (after my usual completely unnecessary and long-winded explanations filled with several typos at least) throw a smoke pellet down and disappear into the night. That and/or be very dramatic with my cape by flicking it around- an action which will eventually strangle me somehow.

          But some people (Such as Jabberwocky, No0ne and myself) have actually chosen to use avatars based on these characters. So that means we know their effect on others perceptions and have chosen to roll with it anyways.

      It was an injoke on the old forums, as I recall. Pre-Resurrection, the Head Alien had the hand on the left side; POST-Resurrection, the hand was on the right.

      This links to Sinister and Dexter (the latter being the right-handed), though I can’t exactly remember how. I seem to recall it has something to do with Latin.

        Sinister is from the Latin for left-handed, Dexter for right-handed. Because of the way formal togas are worn, left hands were often hid underneath multiple folds of robes, and so people hid objects in their left hand — stolen objects, knives, etc. Thus the “sinister” hand because associated with wickedness, while the right hand, used for gesturing, became known for fine hand movements.

        In the Walky/Fans crossover, Shanna was captured by the Head Alien. She kept making fun of his voice, which apparently was kinda munchkin-like. “Dexter” was one of the names she called him.

          Yes, but he was known as Dexter on the forums before that. Shanna’s use of the name was a thru-the-4th-wall reference to that, in a way that would work in-universe (considering that it never was his nickname in the actual comic).

    i’m totally paranoid everyone looks at the cartoon folder thing a think well thats the closest thing we’ll see of head alien but i start thinking that they have already infiltrated society and made the show as mean to blend in without being noticed * head alien walks down the street* “oh its a kid in a dexter costume aw” everything i see further proves this is the universe that causes the machete arc willis please tell me i’m being nuttier than a reeses peanut butter cup

    Oh well, I think Dorothy will flat out reject him anyway. He has no direction, where as she has a very defined goal. I foresee a crazy love quadrangle in our somewhat near future.
    Walky will love Dorothy, who instead will love Joe for his awesome robot skills, and Joyce will fall for Walky while he’s trying to impress Dorothy by being cute. Yup. I call it right now!…
    Or maybe Walky will just end up with Dorothy. *facepalm*

    Dang! So Walky IS the “love at first sight” type of person…and its with DOROTHY of all people (kinda a bit shallow, but common ground is common ground I suppose)… Now I’m even more curious: Are Walky and Joyce going to still end up together or is this a universe where they don’t even give each other a second glance? (More importantly, will Dorothy make the same mistake?)

      Love at first sight is a tricky thing, being based entirely on external appearances rather than a deeper understanding of the person. Except in rare occasions it doesn’t make for a lasting relationship.

      Today I gave a depressing, heartfelt goodbye to a girl I severely disliked the first time I met her. The feeling was mutual, but over the years we’ve grown on each-other quite a bit. There’s still hope for Joyce and Walky.

      Or, there would be, if David Willis wasn’t evil.
