          Although I was less inclined to battle for his affection and more inclined to date one or more of the other exes.

          Also, while we were certainly a league and we were also his exes, I don’t think it was ever established that we were evil. Certainly, so far as we were concerned, he was the evil one for the manipulative way he tended to seduce and then dump various women.

          Yeah he must’ve sucked from what I can gleam, though in that league it would be kinda fun to make yourselves out to be affably evil, if not while also to mock him with it at the same time, no?

          The sad part was, when he wasn’t being a suzbag about relationships, he was actually pretty fun. He and I were friends first and used to game a lot.

          The trouble was that I kept meeting people that I wanted to befriend/maybe date and he kept seducing them, sleeping with them, and then either dumping them outright or going ‘oh, I thought this was just a casual thing’ whenever ‘relationship’ stuff came up.

          Also, and here’s the really sad thing – I had a huge crush on him, but since we were gamer friends, he didn’t make any moves on me. Also we lived in the same dorm on the same floor (much like DoA, one side of the hall was for females, the other for males). More than once, I would be walking down the hallway and hear him having sex with one of my friends. It was super depressing, and led me to make several relationship mistakes of my own. One of which was sleeping with him even though I knew 100% that it wouldn’t lead to anything good.

          On the bright side, I did make several very good friends out of it. The League endures.

      That’s different, playing the game isn’t what confuses her, it is the jargon and enthusiasm for such stuff that cinfuses her. Besides, all leather jacket/speed enthusiasts should play Saints Row 3.

          I guess they are tied for 1st place.

          SR4 also has an alien providing opera accompaniment to a Biz Markie song, Roddy Piper and Ashly Burch (as themselves, not playing characters) as sidekicks, Keith David (again, the actual person) as vice president of the US, a sing-along sequence of Opposites Attract, and this is the ending.

          Puts it all in perspective.

          That’s still more than once or twice a second (at 30 or 60 FPS). That’s plenty often enough that most people would never notice just playing with a regular controller on a stock console hooked up to a TV in your living room.

        Regardless on how much of a gamble picking a therapist actually is, I still love that show.

          Yeah as I was typing my comment, I was thinking about how a therapist provided by the school would probably suck. The one at my college absolutely did and I didn’t get back into therapy until this year. Luckily my insurance covered one that is a good fit for me.

          I think Questionable Content handles getting characters into therapy well.

        What are everyone’s favorite types/genres of games that you think make good speedruns? I prefer games with very little “randomness”/luck/RNG so that there is a display of skill. (Though, a tiny amount of RNG to spice things up by plus or minus a couple seconds or minutes in the long run can be fun while the community brainstorms the next timesave.)

        Pokemon runs are long for the reason of heavy random elements lmao… but its random elements can be manipulated in some ways we’ve discovered, and the manipulation is skill, which can be pretty interesting! But if I’m going to watch a speedrun that’s hours long, I still feel like there are more entertaining options

          I don’t play lots of games that aren’t random LOL but I think Hotline Miami speed runs are SUPER intense and just about a raw test of skill.

          Also lots of fighting games make good speed runs too!

          I got into watching speedruns through Pokémon, funnily enough. My favourite runs tend to be ones that utilise glitches, just to see a game get broken into smithereens.

      Here’s how I see it:

      To me, the most appropriate avenue of this conversation would to be shove a lecture down Amber’s throat. If a friend did this to me, I’d be furious, and if they were the kind of person I wanted as a friend they’d let me say my piece. Not radically change in an instant, harmful thought processes take time to come out of, but I’d really only feel comfortable staying friends if I had some assurance this wasn’t going to happen again.

      But, I’m not Danny, who has only ever criticized Amber for the third time in 11 years of comics two days ago. He vocalized his objections, but I don’t think Danny is really capable of staying mad at her because that’s not how he’s wired, and that’s to Amber’s detriment. Even when he got mad at her for breaking up with him for hanging out with Sal and then starting to hang out with Sal herself, once Amber indicated some DID confusion he tried to understand how it worked and then was actually happy she was befriending her. For Danny to stay mad, I think Amber would have to keep pushing until he couldn’t take it anymore.

      Danny’s slowly building up a spine, while Ethan had to have massive amounts of trauma and the realization that Amber isn’t a great friend for him to pull away, and if there’s anyone who enabled Amber’s self-loathing more than Danny, it was him.

        You’re lucky it was two days prior, if it had been a week before there would be a 50/50 chance I’d say you were a genius for predicting something a month earlier, and then NEITHER of us would have any idea what I was talking about.
