    To be honest, it’s Sarah’s “tank over tee” look that I don’t understand.

      It’s a fashion with roots in 16th-century France, specifically among the working class and especially in professions involving a lot of powder or dust. The white shirt underneath serves to cover the arms and torso to keep them clean, while the sleeveless top over it helps to soften the blow and protect the major organs if a large amount of powder (or small objects) spills. It caught on in fashion after French immigrants started coming to the United States in the 1800s, and between 1967 and 1972 it was actually a fairly punk style, with a lot of counterculture movements adopting it to make an anti-capitalist statement. Typically, the outer layer features a slogan or symbol, but there are plenty of exceptions. I wouldn’t be surprised if Sarah has French branches somewhere in her family tree.

    I may have spent too much time on the internet but I just feel like Sarah has “this shouldn’t work but by god it works” type chemistry with about two thirds of the characters she’s talked to. She’s genuine, most people actually appreciate that about her, they tell her, she secretly likes it… Does anyone else see what I see?
