    I’m really curious to see what Dina’s upbringing was like. I mean, I don’t know much about social disorders, but if she doesn’t have one this really seems to be…I dunno…off. No one could possibly have spent eighteen years in such a social vacuum as to result in this kind of behavior. Her parents must’ve made Squee Casil’s look attentive and caring.

    She’s like some weird mix of Amelia Bedelia and Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory.

      I was homeschooled, and I didn’t blossom socially until college. Even after college, I have a hard time finding ways to make new friends. She’ll break out of that bubble eventually… characters have arcs. The one she had with Mike in It’s Walky showed a decent amount of depth to her character. I hope she gets similar exposure here.

In an odd twist of fate, Ninja Rick will be introduced as her ninja-loving but well-adjusted younger brother, who was raised by their parents but not told about his sister abandoned in the woods near the video store’s Dumpster.

      I’ve actually known someone exactly like this who was around 18 or into their early twenties. I have no idea how they got that way… One day they just kinda up and vanished without a word. Still not sure why, just that they’re still alive because once in a blue moon one of their art site profiles favorites something new.

You didn’t lose reasoning abilities; you just had other theories that didn’t leave your subconscious mind. Unfortunately for you, that can already be harnessed for evil, although I forget how.

      My new crazy theory -derived from a comment I made below- aside from the dorm meeting at the start and that time in class when she got Walky’s notes, she’s actually been asleep. She sleeps with her eyes open, and sleepwalks, sleeptalks, and has a limited ability to interact, but that’s just her subconscious speaking.

      Remember, all these times we’ve found her standing around her dorm room – and we’ve seen no solid evidence that she sleeps lying down…

        I doubt her parents (or guardians, whatever) would send her to live in a dorm if she was retarded. Besides, she appeared to be able to imitate “normal” when prompted by Amber. If anything she seems high on something, but thankfully not ectasy or stuff that would dissolve her sense of “personal space”.
