As a general stance, while using the wrong pronouns for someone may be considered misgendering them, I think it’s good to remember that pronouns aren’t gender. I’ve never known a gay man who uses she/her, and only she/her, all the time, but it certainly seems possible. I have known cis lesbian women who use he/him pronouns.

In languages where I is different for each gender, it sometimes happens that a girl uses the male one as well. So I would say it is uncommon enough you won’t encounter it a lot, but it will crop up on occasions. Sometimes they just like it, sometimes it is to make a point, sometimes they are experimenting.
I have known a transperson who said they were both trans and gay because that was the easiest way to explain their current position, though logically, the way it worked out, they would be straight, but they hadn’t transistioned, so still presented as cisgender at the time. But explaining all that is a lot of work.
