Has anyone recreated the New 52 Catwoman #1 cover where she’s pouring diamonds on her chest for some reason? Or the #0 cover where she has scoliosis? I’m asking for a friend.
Hmmmmm astronomy and astrobiology and diseases and the like for me. Right now I wake and think…. pluto, pluto, dwarf planets ,megaearths, Europa, pluto, 5 moons, pluto, terrafoming, mars, pandemics, why do they never raid churches in zombie movies or drs offices, just once I want someone to break into a Mormon church and it’s bishops office find the ward list and the location of the bishops store house and get more food and supplies than they know what to do with, bird flu and then pluto
Last guy who thought that got eaten by a Raptor because he thought he could use them for military purposes….honestly he wasn’t the smartest guy I knew.
Why are fat guys always evil in jurrasic park movies!
Cholma
Because they run the slowest, and therefore know that when the feces hits the rotating oscillator, they are doomed. Might as well be evil then, and try to get the others eaten first!
For what it’s worth, Nedry wasn’t evil in the original book. He was in the right. There’s the one line in the movie where he alludes to being overworked and underpaid, but it’s fully laid out in the book that he was hired on to build a nonspecific “database” and kept in the dark about what was fully needed until the end of the project and constantly yelled at for failing to meet requirements he wasn’t told existed. Then blackmailed into working way overtime for no extra money to deliver the full, now-revealed requirements, with threats that otherwise they would see to it that he never worked again by using their clout to tell all his other potential customers and employers that he was unreliable.
Nedry in the book owed no one shit, and was sympathetic IMHO in his desire to stick it to his boss.
Who was the book’s least sympathetic character — Hammond was arrogant and manipulative and childish. He brought his grandkids in just to guilt Grant and the others into keeping the park open “for the kids!!”, and never gave a shit about the danger they were in after that.
(Another sympathetic character turned unsympathetic: the lawyer who in the movie dies cowering on a toilet. Like, the book was more of a tragedy, where the movie kind of made sure that way more of the people who died “deserved” it.)
Cholma
Don’t forget that Hammond dies in the book as well. Long after the climax, when everyone thinks it’s all over. Alone, with no one aware that he’s even in danger.
I’ve said before that I figure Dina knew all along, probably didn’t even realize that it was supposed to be a secret, and only didn’t mention it earlier because she didn’t figure her roommate being a costumed vigilante was unusual or worthy of comment. All the body language cues and mannerisms that change when Amber puts the mask on, the things that tell other people that the badass crime-fighting building-leaping truck-surfing superhero is not that nerdy girl who hides in her room playing WoW all the time… Dina can’t see. So for her, Amazi-Girl is just Amber with a piece of cloth tied around her head.
TSB
Wow, great analysis, that makes a lot of sense.
Scoops
And I’ve said before that Amazigirl’s mask doesn’t cover her mouth:
I can’t figure out who that character in the top bunk is. She’s wearing Amber’s clothes but Amazi-Girl’s mask. It’s like Willis trotted out yet another new character, some weird amalgam of two existing ones. And whose messages is she reading, A’s or A-G’s?
In short, have we seen Amber just hanging out partially dressed as Amazi-Girl before?

I’ve seen some scary things in my day. But that? That one will haunt me forever.

That’s even more adorable than I thought it would be.

Despite this, danny still sits a solid 2% under Galasso
Spencer
Danny makes it work.
TrueVCU
Danny choice in shorts is at best unfortunate
AgentKeen
Do you mean ‘shorts’ as in shorts, or ‘shorts’ as in boxers? Cause I think those are boxers, which are pretty standard in that style.
Ancestral Hamster
Indeed. It looks like boxers, i.e. underwear.
Oh, that’s it. Danny Danned it up again, and forgot his pants.
Darkoneko
Carefreely striking a chat with your GF’s roommate while you’re in underwear probably breaks etiquette.
madock345
I thought it was kinda hot
Darkoneko
Well, yeah, but it still breaks etiquette 😀
John
Of course, it’s Dina, so she thinks she’s the one being weird.
Nono
It doesn’t seem that weird to me. Plus at least he’s almost fully covered.
It’d be more awkward if you were naked.
brionl
What? I stand around in my underwear talking to women all the time. Is that why I can’t get a date?
AgentKeen
RRARRGGHGL!
Architex
It’s the raptor!!!
Ruuuuuuunnnnn!!!
darkoneko
No! Don’t ! It’d consider you a prey.

I was gonna say, if her subject of choice was computers instead of paleontology, she’d basically be me.

Hearing Dina’s inner voice is going to be so interesting!

We will all be fully qualified paleontologists by the end of the storyline.

I’m happy that this is apparently just her “usual affection” for him
Sam
It doesn’t say affection, it says affectation.
And by looking up the definition it essentially means:
an unnatural form of behavior that is meant to impress others
Azukar
In this case, the usage is more like “the behaviour everyone expects of her”.
Sam
Well, I am impressed by her dinosaur impression.
Rycan
Ooh, completely misread that one too.
Kris
There really is no downside to releasing the raptor.
David Herbert
Until it eats you.
ninja_jesus
I still see no downside. Food for raptors.

I had to stop and think for a second before I remembered Dina figure out Amber’s secret identity earlier in the series.
