I am at Phoenix Comicon right now!  I'm tabling with Rob DenBleyker of Cyanide and Happiness in Artist Alley at table 649. I hear William Shatner is supposed to be here, but all I see is this cardboard box.

    It would be nice if Mario Kart 7 (which I assume they’re playing) did have in-game chat, as it seems here. I guess it’s too narratively clunky to have to send swapnotes!

      Actualy, in thoery you could write a note by hand, take a photo, then send it via your own email account all while the game is paused.
      (email uploads actualy work fine from the 3DS browser)

      Its weird whats possible and whats not on the 3DS.

    I generally assumed the campus to be Bloomington, and the strip actually pretty much confirms it thanks to Robin’s chalk map placing them in the northwest corner of Indiana’s 9th District. (Whose current real-life rep is Republican Todd Young, incidentally.)

    Generally, when a city is not given in common usage with a university name, the assumption is going to be that it’s the flagship campus. For example, if someone says “UNC”, they’re not likely going to think Asheville or Charlotte, but Chapel Hill, unless one of those other cities is given afterward. Similarly, say “University of Michigan”, without a city afterward, and you’re going to think about Ann Arbor, not Flint or Dearborn.

    In the other universe, there are people with actual superpowers. I assumed that in the Dummyverse, people were generally just normal folks. Up until now, Amazigirl could have just been getting lucky, but this comic more than suggests that she might actually have superpowers. Is that an accurate take-away from this?

      No – Amazigirl has not demonstrated any supernatural ability. She does, however, appear to be well trained.
