          Well, I was going to point out that what I actually meant was that for all Joyce knows (and for all we know) what Joe wears to bed is as little as what Sal wears to bed, and so Joyce is taking a more cautious approach. But then it occured to me that it might be better, and funnier, to just leave it with Demoted Oblivious’s image. But of course by then I had typed all this in, and it keeps getting longer as I type, and it would just go to waste if I didn’t post it.

    Hey, the last few days we’ve had a few DID systems posting here (Or maybe many alters of one DID system? I am not entirely sure). I wanted to know if any of you had read the current Hulk run, “Immortal Hulk”, and possible opinions? It deals a lot with Banner’s DID.

      Is that canon to Hulk, these days? I haven’t touched a single comic he’s in outside of big events (Civil Wars, Infinity Gauntlet, etc).

        Yep. Pretty much every different version of the hulk is a separate alter. Joe Fixit is my favorite

          Yeah, Immortal Hulk pretty much makes it text. The Devil Hulk was the first alter to form, as someone who would love and protect him (due to his mother’s death and his father’s abuse).

          Savage Hulk, the one you know from most of his appearances, is basically a child with anger issues, and represents Banner as an abused child. Because this is the form that always has been persecuted and blamed for everything, he remembers kindnesses deeply. He also somehow always manages to minimize loss of life during his rampages.

          Joe Fixit is the Grey Hulk, a jerk with a heart of gold, who used to work as a mob enforcer. (According to Tvtropes he is a perpetrator alter? Takes out his aggression on the world around him). He is the weakest hulk, but he is the cunning one.

          the Professor Hulk was originally called a “merged” hulk, with the strength of Savage, the intelligence of Banner and the cunning of Joe Fixit, he is not quite that, and he isn’t as strong as Savage, smart as Banner or cunning as Joe. He is a whole other personality, and as of Immortal Hulk, he is gone from banner’s mindscape, either dormant or missing.

          The Green Scar was born on the planet Sakaar to protect the system from the brutal planet.

          While I dunno how accurate this all is to actual DID it is interesting! There is a small preface in Immortal Hulk #35 that gives some clarification as what each alter represents.

      Actually, Dan and Joyce are both comic characters and Willis’s drawings are the proxy. Except that Joyce’s proxy is a word balloon.

      Though I suppose that the drawing of Dan in the first panel is, in some sense a proxy for both. But we can all agree that Joe has been proximitied.

    I have no idea what’s going on here regarding Joyce wanting Joe woken up with a triangular smile. However, having no idea what’s going on is such a common situation when it comes to Joyce that, in a way, it’s unremarkable.

          and still a very large drop before falling as low as waking up next to Mary.

          Still, I’d take Mary over my exes, because at least she’d be a new different mistake (although admittedly in the same class of errors).

      The archives don’t have a search feature so I couldn’t look up specifically comics containing both Joyce and Danny (and i’m not going to scour them for that) but considering Joe has dated Joyce, and their immediate circle of friends have been pretty engaged with each other its very likely they have at the very least had a few moments of “Hey, Joyce.” “Hey, Danny.”. At the very least she knows him because she went on a date with Joe and hangs with Dorothy almost exclusively.

    So… I know this probably means Joyce and Joe are finally dating, which I do love, they’re one of my favorite ships.

    But is it wrong that I kinda hope her and Danny are dating? I know the joke this whole time has been that Joyce and Danny don’t know each other now, but like… the comic is over 10 years old, and we just got confirmation for the first time that they actually interact now. I think Danny and Joyce, now that neither of them are awful, would have a really interesting dynamic. Even if they’re not dating that would be cool too, but I don’t know… i just think it would be fun to explore that for a bit.
