      Except of course we know Dorothy was magically there, so Jennifer has stumbled ass-backwards into the correct decision for the wrong reasons. Which is super on-brand.

    Do you ever look at a detail of an art style too hard and then it’s all you can focus on? I got wrapped up in the noses and how the black areas make it look like they either have animal style noses, like a cat nose or something, or they have one huge nostril. I’m going to stick with the animal thing because it’s cuter.

    (And obviously this is not new at all; sometimes things just jump out at you.)

    Less realistic is Jennifer knowing all of the details.

    I assume she learned them from Raidah who is uncomfortably right about everything she believes in but is also a terrible person. Sort of the anti fundamentalist Joyce.

        We’ve got preview panels of them like a year from now.

        Still running hand-in-hand. I assume that’s all they’re doing for the next year. The comic will continue with everyone else’s storylines, and every few weeks we’ll just get a cut to Joyce and Dorothy running hand-in-hand, just getting further and further from campus. Eventually Carla will find them in the Amazon when she swings by to drop off Mary.

    I think at this point it must be clear that Jennifer is actually Amazi-Girl herself and is hiding her identity by pretending to report on it. She makes it look like it’s Amber with mirrors and whatsits. But the real magic, of course, is done in post. Very clever once you figure it out.

    In fairness to Jennifer, without knowing Dorothy’s recent inner turmoil the thought of OG “law and order, uphold the institutions” Dorothy participating in a protest rally DOES seem inconceivable. 😛

      True, but Jennifer has some clues. She should at least know that Dorothy has been going through some shit, been a little bit unpredictable, and been upset. Jennifer tried to cheer Dorothy up with karaoke, they’ve had a couple of verbal fights in the hallways, Dorothy did some underage drinking, and Jennifer knows Dorothy had sex with Joyce (by some definitions).

    It’s funny to think that if Jennifer had stopped to interrogate Walky’s questionable claim of “2.5 girlfriends” she’d probably have learned more about Amazi-Girl than she has up till this point. Including, you know, that she definitely isn’t Sal.

      To be fair to Jennifer, if I heard ‘2.5’ girlfriends from a friend of mine, my first assumption would be that .5 means he was in a situationship or that they had maybe one single fling rather than assuming the .5 was pointing towards anything DID related.

        Yeah, and this case I think that’s also true– the .5 was because he and Amber were a situationship. Not because of her DID.

          I’m not assuming they’d immediately clue into Amazi-girl being an Alter or anything. It’s just “.5” is the sort of thing that has a story and given the immediate followup from Alice and like everything we know about Jennifer, it is clear the two are up for some gossip. A 0.5 girlfriend has a high likelihood of Hot Goss.

          If they’d pressed a little they may have learned some stuff is all.
