Personally, I suspect that it wouldn’t be too awkward if it wasn’t for Joyce being very Aggressively Friendly and Considerate at Jacob in order to redeem herself for her past mistakes. It’ll be HILARIOUSLY awkward, in that case.
Maybe Jacob will be warning Joe about Joyce and her manipulative ways. And Joe will be all “No, really, she’s changed! She’s not Christian any more!” and Jacob will be “You can’t just change the basis of your entire personality that easily. Watch yourself with that one.”
Genetics are just unfair like that. I eat like a garbage disposal, none of it healthy, and I’m skinny for my height. But if you make me go for a jog I’m winded and my shins hurt within the first 3 minutes.

The gym sucks for 90% of people, but I know folks who dropped a ton just by buying an outdoor bike, or swimming, or joining a sports league instead of “working out”.
The best shape I’ve ever been in was when I was playing racquetball three times a week with a buddy of mine in undergrad. But yeah you could not pay me to go do a traditional workout at a gym.
I like to go for long somewhat brisk walks in the park while reading. My feet follow the pathway mostly by themselves. The only time it wasn’t enjoyable was when one of the paths went over a culvert a bit over waist high. When my feet strayed from the path, I tried to walk on air and it didn’t go so well.
Once the ribs healed, I now pause my reading for that part of the trail. Also had to pause it for last summer cause it was too damn hot to leave the air conditioner.

The best decision I ever made was to start bicycling (outdoors) when I was 18. Give me an excuse to go anywhere reasonably close, I will bike it, even in Wisconsin winters. Now in my 60s, I am in far healthier and in much better shape than most of my friends.
i never considered it ‘exercise’ but i miss having a dog to walk, she was pretty energetic so we prolly could’ve gone another hour if iwas n’t worried about her dehydrating lol
but yeah if i had a friend/partner/puppy, than an easygoing/brisk walk every now and then would be nice other than listening to music/podcast in headphones, having company would be ideal

Got my copy of “Her Hugs are Traps” today, and realized that one of the comics on the bookmark that came with it is probably a preview for tomorrow’s strip. 😀

Don’t use exercise equipment in regular socks. Grippy socks or Skinners maybe, but either wear shoes or commit to going barefoot. Regular socks don’t have enough grip.
from an objective viewpoint, she smooshed it herself while he was trying to warn her not to. From an “its incredibly painful, and that makes a person angry” viewpoint, she blamed Joe and he didn’t fight her on it.
I think it’s funnier if Sarah is indulging in some goofiness. But probably the snapshot and dialogue would not be at the same time. The joke works than her saying the dialogue as she’s getting exercise clothes out of her dresser.
