      Willis could charge $5 a punch and retire on the proceeds.

    Mayhap Ruth knows and is trying to offer a different way to blow off steam and that last panel is her taking a parting shot saying that Amber’s current path is not a healthy one.

    Suddenly I really hope that Amber suddenly blurts out a confession from the way Ruth’s unknowing poking at her guilt. I would really like to see them bonding over having anger issues and violent streaks that have lately started dragging them down!

    And then Ruth can become Amber’s Oracle, using the inside info she gets as RA to pass on useful tips about problems that need solving. She even has the red hair and glasses.

      I think we lost Amazi-Girl in the parking lot outside the AAA office.  If you do a tag search for “amazi-girl”, you will find that Blaine’s beatdown was administered by Amber, not Amazi-Girl, and her only appearance since then was as the front-page picture in the IDS.

    At least Ruth’s session went better here than the first session she called in the common room. Seem to recall she threw someone across the room at that time.

    But, Ruth just ain’t got a clue here, too bad. She could be a strong friend and at least she offered to listen.

    Hope Amber realized that, and that for those who do know what Blaine is like – she has no explanations due to anyone for beating the shit out of him. She is not the animal, he is.

      If he is the animal, then she is at least half animal. Yeah, yeah, temperament’s not really genetic, but there is a nurture aspect. Mike had a point when he pointed out Amber’s preference for submissive types, and the recent show of fury proves that Amber can indeed be at least as bad as her father when properly riled. She has not yet crossed a Moral Event Horizon, and Blaine definitely deserved what he got, but there is still the potential that Amber could become a second generation abuser. It happens surprisingly often in the real world, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Blaine were one.

    It’s a pity that I still desire Ruth to die in a horrific car accident due to her distaste for Game of Thrones. Otherwise, I’d be supporting her actually trying to help a resident.

      I suspect Ruth’s exasperation would’ve been the same if he’d been yelling “Doctor Who! Doctor Who!”

        Surely a REAL fan would have loved that introduction, and wanted everyone to see it regardless of age or what else was happening. So obviously, Ruth isn’t a real fan, and for all practical purposes is the same as someone who hates it.

        Charles is going to be all conflicted when it turns out Ruth dies in an accident because she pushes George Martin out of the way of an out of control truck, though.

Anywho, I watched more R-rated movies when I was thirteen than I have movies period since and I turned out…*looks at himself* Okay, I’m supertech short of a supervillain but that’s unrelated!

          Game of Thrones is a bit beyond R-Rated anyway. It is often barely a step ahead of being softcore porn. I wouldn’t let a 16 year old watch it.

    I kinda looked back through the archives and… noticing that there was a lot of evidence pointing to Amber being the campus vigilante that Ruth could have picked up on. The appearance of them in the dorm when she was about to throwdown in the dorm with Billie, the quick escape down the stairs, and… Faz being tied up and delivered to her by Dina to “return to sender” with a rope that had a grappling hook. Now unless Dina is secretly a rock climber and can shapeshift to have a less slender and curvier physique with short brown hair, why ELSE would there be a rope with a grappling hook just available to use to dispose of an unwanted pest?

    Or perhaps Ruth does know, isn’t saying so, and is being really quite vicious with a very passive aggressive way of telling Amber that she thinks she’s absolutely psychotic for what she did to Blaine. I would hope not, though.

    Total Props for Ruth here, but unfortunately, I don’t think it helped… especially that last little bit, unknowingly calling Amber a “crazy animal.” Mind you, this is that same kind of lack of knowledge that Danny is usually stuck with. So yea, yay for Danny actually being informed at this stage.

      While everything is set up for a Ruth/Billie angle and they are fan favorites, scenes like this make me think there could be fun Ruth/someone like Amber relationships. Since Amber has a doppleganger already, maybe there’s MORE STILL.
