Long distance

I will be at Phoenix Comicon this weekend, starting tonight!  I'll be tabling with Rob DenBleyker of Cyanide and Happiness in Artist Alley at table 649.   I've never been to Phoenix, so I'm excited for it.  I hope to see you there! It's... it's not too late to buy shorts, is it?  Do I own shorts?  I'm pretty sure I'm gonna need shorts.

          RPG didn’t really age well, it is totally crying out for a sequel.

          It was more of a spinoff if you ask me. I know it goes by Mario & Luigi RPG in Japan, but the thing is that Superstar Saga made its own world filled with all sorts of Mario and Mario-like things while Super Mario RPG was more of a world with more Enix-y type stuff and an entirely silent Mario that charaded everything.

          They barely have anything in common aside that they are both RPGs and feature Mario.

        It’s because of the contrast with Joe here, who clearly has all of the eyebrows.

        On an entirely unrelated note, I think we need to start tracking eyebrows over time for all the characters.

        Probably because Danny usually has eyebrows at least once per strip. I checked back a few comics before I posted, and lately he’s been drawn with eyebwors in nearly every panel. But in this one he has 4 close-ups and not a single eyebrow.

    Speaking as someone who regularly tweets/tumblrs from across the room at his Lovely Wife Found Through Geek-Bonding, this is adorable as hell and I hope they have eighty babies.

      Okay, since I have you here – why tweet with somebody from across the room? They’re right there! Unless you want to have a record of the conversation to use in a future court hearing or something, I really don’t see the point. Since you state that she’s Lovely it’s not so that you can chat without having to look at her -wait, how nice to look at are you again?

      I mean, yes, this is adorable because they’re not merely chatting and she’s actively trying to deceive him about her identity (so cute?) and thus the use of the intervening device is doubly justified, but I still grasp vainly for the reasoning behind using devices to chat with somebody who you could just talk to.

        My brother and I chat over Google chat from ten feet away because we find it funny–especially if we’re simultaneously carrying on a verbal conversation, either about the same thing or something completely different. But then, my brother and I have a weird sense of humor.

        Well, think about it. Flirting is often accomplished through non-verbal means: eye contact, body language, a look, a touch. We nerds simply have another non-verbal tool in our belt. Don’t be so unimaginative, there’s plenty fun to be had. If you originally bonded through internet-based interaction, it can sometimes be fun to communicate that way “for old times’ sake”. Especially in the knowledge that, perhaps unlike in the past, you can actually drop the devices and go ravish each other at any time.
