    In these circumstances I completely support Joyce trying out if she wants to, and Walky’s being unreasonable. But I could imagine a situation where Walky went to a friend for help and felt reasonably betrayed because they decided to compete with him.

    All of this is to get to the following conclusion: Lucy didn’t interpret Walky’s statements in the most sympathetic way possible, so at least she isn’t too far gone.
