    To be fair, her mind isn’t the only one berating her for having silly conversations, although in my case its not about poverty so much as the fact that focusing on her talking about cartoons takes time away from Billie and Ruth who are no doubt even now getting drunk and moving ever closer to the most epic hatesex make-out ever seen this side of Amber and Mike in another timeline.

    And yes, I am also a jerk.

      Yeah, I think we’re past the point where Ethan’s doing something wrong here; I can’t imagine any way he could still be rationalizing away their interaction as anything other than stringing her along.

      I mean, geeze, he doesn’t even need to come out of the closet to her if he’s uncomfortable doing so! He can let her down gently without bringing up his sexuality at all.
