I mean I don’t agree with you but kinda get it? The sourness can be overpowering for a some people, but it’s also got spiciness and a kind of savoriness like butter that I and others like?
Mustard is part of the local culture where I grew up, but also the tang of mustard combined with sweetness of ketchup just taste good honey mustard good for most cold sandwiches. Brown mustard goes good on hot dog if you want a bit of kick but not so much on a cold cut or burger also I won’t eat ketchup with brown mustard.
I suspect something ‘way back in prehistory selected for the gene that causes (many of) us to deliberately ingest chemicals that plants evolved to repel or kill animals that would eat them, and enjoy spiting said plants. In you face, mustard! I’m looking at you, horseradish! Take that, much of the genus capsicum!
But that’s the thing, ketchup is so sweet that when you mix the two together (as in Joyce’s burger) you get more than halfway to honey mustard’s sweetness, plus you get the nice tomato flavour from ketchup. It’s like less-candylike honey mustard plus tomato.
Personally I like more than just those two on a hamburger but I get the attraction of the simpler flavour profile.

i’m not rly into many condiments but i’d tolerate/wipe off mustard and wouldn’t mind a lingering taste versus a remake compared to like mayo (ironically i love eggs, i guess it’s the vinegar)
well some stuff is an ‘acquired’ taste. i woudldn’t rly wanna force myself to get used to alcohol, losing weight and health is already hard to main tain tho i did drink coffee after a while (still prefer starbucks frappes to where they’re more milkshakes than coffee but yeah)

But since sanctions made importing US electronics more expensive, China had to set up its own domestic industry and now it doesn’t need to rummage through the west’s rubbish even if we wanted them to.
No, no, type 1 plastic. The stuff most pop bottles are made of. We processed it into pellets and shipped it off (for money!) to China for them to make new plastic things.
They don’t buy it anymore, but for several years they were. Changeover happened at the same time as trade war started so I assumed it was cause-and-effect, but maybe it wasn’t, idk.
