This is SCIENCE they’re doing, and there’s no such thing as a failed experiment.
If there’s anything that Becky needs to know if she wishes to become a SCIENTIST, and something that Dina definitely knows, it’s in any scientific endeavor, a LOT of trial and error are needed before they find out ANYTHING.

That’s the way a scientist (and Dina) would look at it, yeah. But we already know that Becky has some self-esteem issues when it comes to wanting her partners to find her sexually desirable, so Becky might not take it that way. Logically she might know that’s the truth, but emotionally it can still hurt a lot. Fingers crossed that this works out in a way that both of them will enjoy and grow from though. :/
They will grow from it. Becky desires to become a scientist, and will get essential experience. Meanwhile, Dina will get to explore her sexuality, and will likely cherish what she learns as much as any other great discovery she’ll make in her scientific endeavors. ?? ?????
Honestly, lots of scientists have trouble with it. They’re human and it’s easy to let your own ego and preconceptions get in the way.
That’s why the process relies on peer review and publishing not only results but procedures for others to check rather than just trusting scientists to be impartial with their own work.
