Fools! Waffles are the higher-evolved form of pancakes. THEY HAVE CUPS FOR THE SYRUP.
Rex Hondo
Heheh… Amber has cups for syrup…
Rex Hondo
Hrm… I’m starting to think that with all the overtime I’ve been picking up, it’s been a little too long since I’ve “spent some time” with my wife…
Blob Marley
I don’t have a wife, but I can always tell it’s been too long since I’ve had someone to “spend some time with” because my jokes get progressively raunchier.
Rex Hondo
That, and my PSL gets progressively worse…
waldosan
it is absurdly worse when you’ve never done it before, you will never ever achieve this level of raunch in this lifetime again…
that sounds good on paper, but every time i have waffles i feel compelled to equally butter and syrup each square. and if you’ve never done it before, let me tell you it takes too damn long. waffles just aren’t worth it to me.
If we can come up with monstrosities like the McGriddle and The Luther (dear god, THE LUTHER), then x-flavored waffles (or x-flavored BACON) is easy to come up with!!
fellixe
The McGriddle, with its yummy pockets of mapelized crack.
If you doing that to avoid Rule 34, it’s not going to work as well as you think it will.
David
It’s too late for Dina on Rule 34. I just wanted, for the sake of storytelling clarity, a panel of Dina putting on a shirt that wasn’t about her being half-naked.
So what you’re basically saying is: while the classy thing to do would be to leave the “changing” panel out entirely and just show her wearing a different shirt the next time we see her, that would have been too subtle for some of your readers and picked at as a continuity error by others.
It totally would have. Have you ever read the comments section? We pick apart EVERYTHING.
RaijinK
To tell the truth, I started out writing it meaning to imply that Willis should give his readers more credit, but halfway through I started to agree with the reasoning. I likely would have fell into the “completely failed to notice” category myself.
The E-man
Haha truth. Me too!
Thor
Rule 34 of Dina Sarazu has already been done. By D.W. himself. In 2003. Back when he still drew noses as a continuous stroke.
David
God, that art is right here on the floor next to my chair. It ended up on the top of this stack of random art from our move, and every time I look down, I berate myself for not getting that damn thing put away or something.

Pancakes are infinitely better than waffles or ham. Well, I’m vegetarian, so ham was ruled out anyway. But still pancakes.
By the way, snoring is normally a continuous thing. So if she waits long enough, the ‘choice’ is going to be ham.

Yeah, I’d say so.

SAME HERE. I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE! *hugzorz*!

Waffles are not responsible for OCD!!! (Chips and salsa are responsible for OCD . . .)
Nezumi
Who would prefer pancakes to Waffles? Some kind of mutant pancake monster?
Kurai Seraphim
Somebody’s getting waffles with ham on top.
MontyPla
That sounds delicious.
marr
As long as it comes with a fried egg too.
Kryss LaBryn
And Hollandaise. And strawberries.
Kurai Seraphim
Perfect time for the Galasso chef picture.
Boringamus
…How many times for pancakes?
TaZZerath
Thrice!
fellixe
And what is the snore code for omelette? Or is it more of a yawn and stretch thingy?
Wandering Meme
that code is: *snort-snort* *breathe* *snooooooore*
Blob Marley
short-short-long long-short short-pause-short.
Kallio
Who honestly wants pancakes when they can have waffles?
Boringamus
I have to admit, that is a good point. Though I’d take bacon over waffles any day. 🙂
OhHayMike
As well you should.
Michelle J Caboose
How about… Waffles topped with bacon?
Or… bacon-flavored waffles?

Me!! I don’t like waffles!
I’ll take pancakes with bacon. and eggs too. Scrambled.
Jetstream
Pancakes superior…
Waffles… inferior…

What if she snores three times, Dina? What then?
Wandering Meme
hot-pockets.
Aizat
Sandwiches.
Just for kix
3 = 1 + 2 = waffles + ham
Just math really.
Michael
And what if she desires eggs?
Wandering Meme
4.5 snores. basically that last one she needs to stop mid snore…and body-slam her stuffed llama.
marr
I thought a Body slam would indicate a Grand Slam breakfast from Denny’s.
Wandering Meme
That’s after 3 snores. And mumbling about being the prophet of the second eaton…whatever that means…
Leorale
Dina is cute again!
How would ham ever win over waffles?
MichaelHaneline
Meat > starch.
The flesh of animalkind gives me the power to start my day. Muawahaha..
Bill M.
Again? You say that as if she stopped being cute… she is always cute.
Leorale
This is true. The ‘again’ is because every time I see her, she is being cute again.
Plasma Mongoose
I think we missed some fanservice in panel 1.
David
VERY ON PURPOSE.
(Seriously, it is hard to draw an unsexy t-shirt-pulling-on, and I tried and failed, so there you go. Obscural.)
Plasma Mongoose

Don’t think of it as half-naked, think of it as half-clothed.
Wandering Meme
why think about it at all?
Sometimes you just gotta accept it!
Wandering Meme
what’re we talking about again?
Plasma Mongoose
UNDERPANTS!
Wandering Meme
and the risk of getting randomly Joe’d?!?
Plasma Mongoose
Why would you, of all avatars worry about a thing like that?
Rex Hondo
GAH! Perversely warped iCarly flash!
RRRRANDOM JOEING!!!

we sittin’ in here, i’m supposed to be a franchise player, and we in here talkin’ about practice.

Actually, I just thought she was so shy she had to physically drag herself into the panel/strip. (in the absence of someone else to do it for her)
Zuche
That is how I saw it as well.
Roborat
Yup, my first thought too. I even mentally added someone in the wings whispering: “Dina, your on, get out there” and shoving her into the frame.
DarkVeghetta
Same here. Felt just right for Dina.
