On Wednesday, July 4, we get the next Dumbing of Age Pornographique story on Slipshine! Hey, remember a while back when Joe and Malaya did sexy stuff at each other apparently? Well, this is about that! It's 18 full color pages and it's NSFW (stated in case somebody's new here). Be a Slipshine member and see it! Hologram

how will Ethan resist the temptation to wait until he’s dying alone tho

OH DANG HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA YOU GET PR0NZ
Cholma
That was just posted 4 days ago, and yet it has 2 MILLION VIEWS ALREADY?! WTF.
mrnoidea
And it deserves every single one!
HMH
I just love that Finn Wolfhard is actually a perfect mini-Danny. How is that even possible?
Godfather
I am in LOVE with every single aspect of that video. I screamed and scared my cat when I saw it pop up on my feed a couple days ago. NSP AND Finn Wolfhard? Yes pls
Jon Rich
What is everyone even talking about here?

Panels 3 and 4 are bisexuality in a nutshell
BBCC
Is it bad that my first reaction was ‘Awwww, Danny’s happy to see Sal, maybe we can get more cute friendship scenes later’?
I think I proved Ethan’s point.
ScarvesandCelery
Honestly, that’s what I assumed too, and I’m kind of baffled that the seeming comment section consensus is “Danny’s definitely romantically interested in Sal”. Like, he could be, but there’s nothing to suggest that’s definitely the case
TrueVCU
I’m not saying Danny is romantically into Sal, but it certainly LOOKS that way to both Ethan and Amber/AmaziGirl
ShinyNeen
If Danny keeps providing such examples, he can become some sort of beginner’s illustrated guide to bisexuality!
Jed!
Granted, it’s also possible that he’s putting the pieces in his mind together about being held hostage by Sal.
MatthewTheLucky
oh shit

Danning it up on both teams.

It reminds me of the places we used to go
But all I got is a Hologram
And I realize you’re not coming back anymore…–apologies to Ringo Starr

Hey, it fits! Holo-Ringo will probably play it in his 20×6 Centenarian Boomer Life Support Facility tour.

It’s probably best not to call me even if you aren’t dying.
And today’s It’s Walky repost is called Phonin’ Ahead, synergy.

I am simultaneously both Dina and Danny
BBCC
Sure, Dina. Now imagine you got that call from Becky.
Thought so.
Yumi
“If you ever find yourself dying alone, do not contact me. I am not very invested in our relationship.”
Reltzik
“If you ever find yourself dying alone, do not contact me. Instead, contact an ambulance.”
HMH
Blessed comment.

If you ever find yourself dying along, hang up and call 911.
DovahQueen
Dina’s honesty is my favorite thing today.

In unrelated news that might interest some people here: I impulse bought a set of rainbow dice, and I checked out a book on DnD from the library. I’m going to attempt to learn how to play.
cbwroses
Congratulations! I just started playing recently again after two sessions ten years ago, and I am having a blast!
It’s the highlight of my week currently.
Tonight, my halfling fighter kicked off the shoulder of our drunk monk and shoulder bashed a metal golem into a pool of lava with a natural 20.
It was great.

Last session my party’s human swashbuckler rogue rode our shapechanged elf druid into battle, flipped off his back over the enemy to get flanking, and then stabbed. Not a critical hit but so cinematic!
My Thursday group makes DMing a treat.
cbwroses
Nice!
ShinyNeen
Hey, nice!
I don’t have meaningful experience with DnD specifically, but if you’re at all in it for the roleplaying/narrative aspect of it, I can say this:
Try to design a character you’ll enjoy playing long-term. Mechanically and personality-wise. Fatigue can set in unexpectedly. And watch out for sadistic DMs!
Kim
Oh, howvWonderful! 🙂
The current edition is great! (And especially easy to get in to!)
Kim
I also recommend Matthew Mercer’s DM tips in youtube!
Anonymsly
Wonderful, have fun!! When you go to look for a group, I highly recommend checking your local game store, a lot of them end up with scheduled games and/or a bulletin board of groups looking for players. Games in game stores mean not having to go to a stranger’s house.
Alternatively if you want to play online, I play on Roll20.net and love it there. I’ve also heard good things about Fantasy Grounds.
cbwroses
We use Roll20. None of us are in the same place, so we talk on discord, use dnd beyond for character sheets and to share books, and use roll 20 for rudimentary maps and dice rolling (our DM doesn’t really have the time to make detailed maps right now).
ShinyNeen
Ahh, to be young and completely convinced that hovercars are guaranteed in your lifetime.
Agemegos
I remember when we were going to have flying cars by 2001.
Cattleprod
And it wont ever be invalidated by the sliding timescale.
King Daniel
I mean, flying cars are (or should I say, “were”) a thing that was actually in development.
Just, it turns out that flying vehicles would be under air-traffic laws instead of ground-traffic laws (big surprise there), and also the flying “cars” were super-unwieldy and fuel-hungry, so only a few were ever built and the ones left are collector’s items.
Marsh Maryrose
I’ve always wondered why flying cars have been seen as a good thing. Dealing with cars in two dimensions is hazardous enough, but at least you’re mostly safe if you’re not on a roadway.
Let’s put two-ton vehicles in the sky right above us, piloted by people who find Radio Flyer wagons navigationally challenging. What could go wrong?
Miri
I thought the plan now was for us to get. self-driving flying cars that automatically call to log and get approval for their routes with air traffic control?
thejeff
That’s pretty much been the plan since 50s science fiction.
OBBWG
We already have them.
Zee
According to my friend in Dutchland, that’s a thing they’re working on over there
DailyBrad
Danny’s a good egg. Certainly a good-er egg than walkyverse one was sometimes.
newllend(henryvolt)
The Walkyverse Danny was a “Leave It to Beaver” type try hard of a good egg, I got nothing against that version of Danny I’m just calling it like I see it. But this version of Danny has a bit of naivety to him and a general since good. This is undoubtedly the better version of Danny.
Reltzik
Alt text: How can Danny get over it without hovercars? GETTING OVER THINGS IS WHAT HOVERCARS ARE FOR!
Clif
I approve of this remark.
Bagge
If you eve feel the need for a sweet dinosaur fact, however, feel perfectly free to contact Dina
Bathymetheus
Damn you Willis! Stop stomping on my dreams! I want a flying car! I DEMAND a flying car! Not necessarily a hovercar, though it should have vertical take off and landing capability.
And actually, such things are coming irl, surprisingly soon, I think. Though I won’t be able to afford one [sigh].
Inahc
I think the biggest problem with flying cars is the drivers. 😛
…so, once driverless cars are common, maybe some of them will eventually be flying ones! 🙂
(although there’s still that little issue of crashes being far more destructive…)
Bathymetheus
It has always been the case that the least reliable part of a vehicle is the nut that holds the wheel.
We are on the way to replacing those with AI, if developers (*cough*Uber*cough*) can cut out the criminally negligent design decisions which lead to pedestrian death.
Bathymetheus
To expand, yes, flying cars will mostly be automated. Few people will bother to get a pilot license – just as fewer people today are bothering to get a driving license. Fatal crashes, now so common, will become rare.
Keulen
I refuse to give up on the dream of hovercars. It will happen someday and I intend to live long enough to see it.
Screwball
Happy Birthday Daniel the Human, here’s a toy Cybertronian you also have in your collection in a webcomic. Someone out there will buy it for $5, so can you get rid of it all now? It kinda creeps me out, being Cybertronian and all…
Lilyliv
Dina is relatable once again and I love her beyond words.
Wazat
I’m like Dina. I can’t even be trusted with a plant.
Yumi
Plants hate me. I love them so, but they hate me.
Keulen
I’ve tried raising small plants. Every single one of them died.
dralou
Try to get an aloe vera. My companion is a plant killer too, but its aloe vera not only didn’t die, it even separated itself in two to form a second living plant. Knowing that the guy forgot to give it water for three months at one time, I’d say that this plant is the perfect one for those with black thumbs.
Needfuldoer
Spider plants are pretty hardy tutorial level house plants, too. Just water once a week and make sure it doesn’t get root-bound from being left in a pot it’s outgrown for too long.
Zee
I tried raising succulents once. There are only two left alive…

Aw and just when Ethan thought he had a chance, Danny gives the impression of going for Sal.
Ethan still doesn’t know she held him at knifepoint as a teen, does he?
Marsh Maryrose
Ethan knows.
