Rarr! That means ‘dinosaurs are cool’ in dinosaur.
Resne
Well, it depends on your dialect. True, in Tyrannosaur “rarr” means “dinosaurs are cool,” but if you switch to a slightly more esoteric dialect, such as some higher forms of Therazinosaur “rarr” would more closely relate to “your maternal parent has engaged in copulation with me on multiple consecutive occasions.” You have to be careful.
I wonder who Sarah’s trying to convince there by posing Dina as her ‘friend’: the people who she doesn’t care about or Dina, who needs to be told she’s Sarah’s friend. Nice to see that even Sarah can panic.

I still have a copy of the self-disassembling first print run of the PHB.

For some reason, I still read that as Pointy Haired Boss. Though, for some reason, I also confuse PHB with PFY (Pimply Faced Youth from BOFH (Bastard Operator From Hell (Yes, I like nested parenthesis, how could you tell? ( 😉 )))) a lot.
Yeah, but I was always partial to Plateosaurus. The idea of this sauropod precursor rearing up on its hindlegs in order to eat tree leaves always seemed kind of adorable.
Deinonychus where what I thought Jurrassic Park’s raptors were as a child. I was all indignant and like “why do they call them that? Velociraptors were tiny”. Much later I learned that Deinonychus were kind of small as well. But then Utahraptors turned out to be real so it was all okay.
Ah, the tribulations of the young dinosaur nerd. Those big awesome words were part of the appeal, yet one of the hurdles. To this day I hesitate on whether the stress is on the second or third syllable. Die-NON-ick-us or Die-no-NIKE-us? A quick Google suggests the former. But I’ll forget by the time it comes up again.
I was gonna say “I think you meant to say ‘is she adorable’ because the answer is yes” but then I realized that that is NOT a substitution rule to live by.
Awww… To Dina, comparing someone to a dinosaur must be showing the utmost respect to them. 😀 I think in her own little rawr-way, Dina’s saying Sarah is her friend!

fellixe

Bekah
Your pun made my brain cry.
David Herbert
So it’s Mall-ing to bawling?
thomas0comer
That was appalling.
Volkai
It made my brain cry twin waterfalls of happiness.
I have a terrible sense of humor. Or so I’m told.
Kernanator
You remind me of my parents.
And myself.
Plasma Mongoose
Your parents were mauling mallers eh?
Izzy
Yes. They’d we’re mauling mallers who mapped mallies in the halls of the malls with the falling mall walls
Plasma Mongoose

Yotomoe

TheLastOutlaw
The walls in the mall are totally totally tall?
LaurelRaven
What, is that like a valley girl version of My Fair Lady?
Izzy
Damn you iPhone!

Doesn’t matter, have T-Rex.
Kernanator
And “graa” in Therazinosaur means “for an item of little value.
Yotomoe
roar in stegasauras means ” I dislike her, but my girlfriend invited us to her college party and I thought I may as well eat some free chips”
Regalli
Huh. No wonder she likes Mike.
Leorale
Sarah talks like death.
Kernanator
She knows she can kill.
Plasma Mongoose
She is the Old Testament God after all.
Yotomoe
Ah. Back when he liked Dinosaurs.

HER NAME IS A KILLING WORD

POWER WORD: Sarah

Or Dream?

TheLastOutlaw
Proabably both. Dina is awkward enough to need assurance and Sarah is taking critical hits to her social ego.
LaurelRaven
And as adorable as she is, I think Dina’s reaction could be classified as a “Head shot” to what was left of her social ego.
TheLastOutlaw
Pretty much…
Wonder Wig
In their tongue, Dina is known as the dinosaur born. Dinokiin!

FUS RO DAH!

+2 INT
-2 WIS
+4 CHA
Aizat
So, the character is strong, can take some hits, is very perceptive and charismatic while at the same time being uncoordinated and not too bright?
Jetstream
Psst, that’s -2 Wis, +2 int 😉
AJBulldis
Wait, since when does Wis come before Int?

… Is anyone else feeling happy they remember what Deinonychus is? They were cool.
Dave
Dino-Riders taught us much.

I like the Minmi dinosaur myself.
Undrave
You mean Dinobot?
Personally I’m fond of the Achillobator, mostly because of the cool name and feathers.

It’s the same type of dinosaur that Old Lace from the Runaways is

*Paleontology-five* We were into dromaeosaurids before they were cool.

There was a great Animorphs adventure involving dinosaurs. I spent ages misprouncing ‘Deinonychus’.

I loved that Animorphs book. Probably one of my top 3 books in the series.

You have a point, but in this case it’s true.

My first thought was that she is adorable :)!

I think you mean adorkable.

Reading panel 4, and suddenly, Poppa Loves Mambo by Perry Como pops into my head. Only with the lyrics “Dina loves dinos”.
Edd
Hey lady, shut up your face. Don’t you be dissing Dina.
Edd
Ahhh, totally wrong face for this
Kernanator
You’re arguing with yourself.
And losing.
Yotomoe
That’ll show you.
LimeTH
Cue Dina describing the defense method of said Deinonychus.
With her teeth.
Yotomoe
She should show how they fed, by example.

TheLastOutlaw
I’m pretty sure she is. At the same time not grasping the underlying exasperation behind Sarah’s expression.

That’s it, Dina! Show ’em the best you can do!
