I got the joke, I just didn’t have anything to reply with.
Wack'd
Me neither! I tried desperately for half an hour to find M*A*S*H characters that could possibly be punned on Dumbing of Age ones and turned up completely empty.
It’s just as well, Danny. If you had brought her to his attention, he would have to fight you to the death for the right to date her, and we all know how that would end.
I realized you meant Garfield from the funny papers, but for a split second, I thought you might have meant President Garfield (I blame looking at the link to Hail to the Slash that Willis has)
I haven’t read newspapers in years, its all on line. Which has worrisome moments, in that newspaper writers took more time researching what they wrote years ago, and now they don’t seem to. I don’t recall stories being recalled, edited etc. to the extent that they have been in the past 10 years. On-line news spreads so fast, right or wrong factually. You have to stop and think before you accept half of it, and research the other half on more than one site. As to Joe, yes like me, he probably liked the comics. As to Elvis, all I can think of is the last Elvis outfit that sticks in my mind? The white rhinestone covered one, complete with a cape? Why Joe would think of this is beyond anyone but Joe, and Willis 🙂

Who’s Zippy the Pinhead?
Totz the Plaid
Surrealist/dadaist comic strip character.
Animal
There was also a real person styled as “Zip the Pinhead,” a microcephalic freak show star in the late 19th/early 20th centuries.

Jen Aside
Danny’s new girlfriend who’s thankfully off Joe’s radar?
John
Someone that Joyce never gets.
RachelEvil
“Understanding Zippy the Pinhead is a sign of adult onset schizophrenia.” – Cat and Girl.
AckAckAck
Banjo and Chinchilla?
Bill M.
Oh please, I read it in middle school during times I had to kill in the library…
Roborat
But where did you hide the bodies?
Bill M.
In the Dewey Death-imal System’s card catalog.
Bill
I don’t care how long ago you wrote this, but that’s a win.
PlayaSinNombre
Jesus wept!
ProjectXa3
Some silly cartoon character. One of those ones from the MAD Magazine school of art. I only just learned about him myself.
Axel Bordelon
That’s right, Danny. Stop while you’re ahead.
Aizat
The only winning move is not to play.
AckAckAck
But what if it’s a foreplay?
Neospector
Nuclear war, intercourse, same concept. They both end in large, ruinous explosions.
AgentKeen
Also, Taco Bell
Andrusi
A pinhead, to be precise?
Aizat
Who you calling pinhead?
Sandy
Which one-a you’s the REAL Dirty Dan?
AckAckAck
Hey……. punk.
Wonder Wig
Amazi-Girl has radar-absorbing flesh.
Andiemus
That sounds HORRIFYING.
Ancestral Hamster
Better than flesh-absorbing radar! (The new super weapon for the robot rebellion that will destroy all organic life on the planet!)
Mr. Random
Beep, beep, beep. Oh, sir, there USED to be something there.
Plasma Mongoose
But is Raidah also under his radar?
Aizat
It’s Joe, remember? The guy is like Ryo Saeba except for not being a sweeper and an erection that could dent metal.
AckAckAck
Ah Ryo Saeba. His Erection-Fu is quite legendary.
Aizat
Yeah, granted it still hurts like hell but damn, talk about a hard-on.
Yotomoe
Under his Raidar.
Plasma Mongoose
His Raidah? When did this stealth-ship appear?
Aizat
Joe is the launcher of ships.
Kernanator
Raidah O’Raileh!
Wack'd
M*A*S*Hing of Age
Kernanator
Oh good. I was worried for a moment that no one would get the joke.
Plasma Mongoose
I got the joke, I just didn’t have anything to reply with.

Notebooked
Trapper Joe McIntyre? Joyce Mulcahy?
Lucca
Mikeye Pierce?
Andrusi
He pierced your mom. For a nickel.
Aizat
And why does the first Joe think of is an Elvis impersonator?
Kernanator
Because he has doubts about Danny’s sexuality, of course.
Plasma Mongoose
Joe, Don’t Be Cruel… to a heart that is true. 😛
Notebooked
Better love him tender, or he’ll be all shook up.
He helped him make it through the night…by fighting criminals.
Ancestral Hamster
“And another Frosh cries,
In the Roomie …”
LeadHerring
Probably because Elvis Presley based his stage appearance of the superhero Captain Marvel Jr. Yeah, I read that Cracked article too Willis!
Kernanator
As did I!
Dicrel Seijin
*Trying not to think about Danny dry-humping an Elvis impersonator… and failing.*
Damn you, Willis (for putting that image in my head)!
Charlie Spencer
He has a suspicious mind…
Roborat
Cause that is what Joe dry humps.
Kernanator

John
Nah. Joe doesn’t date the girls. He just joes them.
timemonkey
And is occasionally Roz’ed.
Count Dracula
It’s weird to see him called Dan.
Historyman68
Joe clearly once read the papers. Or at least the comics, like me.
Aizat
I read newspapers for the letter column and the news on human stupidity.
John
Funny, that’s exactly why I don’t read newspapers.
AckAckAck
I prefer the news in small doses. That’s why I read Fark. I don’t comment there though. Too much assholes in the political tab there.
Aizat
That’s why I stay away from politics. That and politics could trigger my repressed megalomaniac.
Wack'd
Well, Zippy the Pinhead is the title of the comic. He might’ve known just from seeing that.
Yotomoe
Damnit Joe, He’s dryhumping Garfield. I hate that we had to spell it out for ya.
Aizat
Hey, at least he’s not dryhumping Charlie Brown.
AgentKeen
I realized you meant Garfield from the funny papers, but for a split second, I thought you might have meant President Garfield (I blame looking at the link to Hail to the Slash that Willis has)
Regalli
President Garfield in a CAPE.
AgentKeen
I am not searching for that and ending up with Rule 34…. >.>
Yotomoe
You’re lucky I can’t draw President Andrew Garfield or I’d make it so.
SUGauthor
What about Garfield the cat? Can you work with him?
AgentKeen
Also in a CAPE
Uniqueantique
