        Indiana was REAL progressive in that regard. They are still paying off lawsuits for bipolar 15 year olds with disconnected nads (or removed- either sex) when all they needed was Lithium.

        One of those crud MDs went on to teach at Univ of FL, believe it or not, as faculty in In-Patient Psychiatry.

      Sarah has interacted with Amazigirl before (in a situation where Sarah was herself administering some vigilante justice), and if no one was hearing about some weirdo who goes out at night in a jumpsuit before august chances are they’re freshmeat.

          It was also completely valid. Being acquainted with someone requires current knowledge of them. When you stop speaking to people this knowledge falls out of date as soon as they change in the few ways you knew them.

        Well, Sarah, at least, seems to be more comfortable around Ethan. She used to be too shy to talk to him. Now she talks about vibrators with him, and in today’s comic, she put her hand on his chest. She may not realize it, but they’re in some sort of a relationship.

          Jacob, not Ethan. And I dunno, for one thing, I read that gesture as her waving him off, not necessarily making contact. And there’s a huge gap between “comfortable enough hanging out to have momentary physical contact” and “in a relationship”.

          The shadow for Sarah’s hand is further down on Jacob’s torso, so she is not touching him. I put that there so it would be apparent she is not actually touching him, for the record.

          I fucked up. The DJ I was referring to, with whom a running gag was Joe’s refusal to acknowledge his ludicrous existence, was actually from another universe and also the future. So that joke made even less sense than it already would have.

      At the party where Joyce almost got raped. Amazi-Girl showed up, distracted everyone and the guy snuck away while everyone was looking at the crazy lady in the cape. Sarah apparently has not forgotten or forgiven.

          I think Sarah sees right through the costume, hence the quote marks around “Amazi-girl” in Psychoqbal’s link. So when she says “You’ve got a lot of nerve pulling this”, Sarah is referring to Amber’s outrage at Ethan using a fabricated identity – it’s a bit hypocritical to follow that up by running around pretending to be some else.

      The 14 comics where *Amber* and Sarah have been tagged together are: I.1 Opening floor meeting (3), II.3 Cafeteria (2), III.3 Another floor meeting (1), III.4 Meeting Mrs. Warner (1), IV.1 The table flip (7).

      Either the “You let that rapist get away” or “Whoa there, tiny thunder” (if Sarah sees through the disguise and doesn’t call her out because she just doesn’t give a fuck) would be a perfectly reasonable bad experience from “last time we spoke”.

        It baffles me that Willis hasn’t implemented a search function that allows you to just search the archives for multiple tags at once.

        I’m sure he probably has a good reason why he has it set up the way it is, but it really makes searching the archive for certain strips a pain. I had to cycle through like 10 pages of strips with Joe in them looking for the Wingman comic the other day because I couldn’t remember the date for it, and I didn’t know about the trick you just posted.

    I think it’s pretty unfair for AG to be blamed for Ryan getting away. That was a crowded house party, no matter how big an entrance AG made, someone should have noticed Ryan leaving and said something.

      It’s still her fault. If she wanted to help she should have stayed back and watched him instead of announcing herself and drawing all attention. Hell, the best thing to do would have been to call the police or stay out of it entirely since she has no actual authority.

    You are carrying around one hell of a persecution complex because of how some people feel about what happened with your roommate last year.

      Her lack of a “no” is pretty much her major persecution complex coming into play.

      But Sarah wouldn’t deny anything anyway. See from my time spent in space with a bunch of ne’er-do-wells (also known as the Kimia Station; zing!) I learned that there’s a way to deny something without actually denying it on the record. Such as lying to get on the Ethics Committee; no one’s going to fess up to Emirate Xaaron about that! But saying no outright, can lead to greater scrutiny. So you invent ways to lie: “I have an alibi.” “Swerve is my alibi.” “Do you really want me to open my briefcase?” “I was on Ark 42 overseeing the installation of hull plating.” “I was reading the latest “Wreckers: Datalogs”.” “Briefcase!” Etc.
