          … I would argue the whole bit about the obvious paleontological influences on the artistic respresentation of Gojira, and from there to dragon-class Kaiju and thus ‘zillas and Zom-Zom in particular. However, this is the internet and either one will see the connections and be receptive to the relation, or they are subscribed to a particular mythos and/or mentality on the subject and won’t likely be receptive to such a dialogue. I am content to be proven wrong, but am not particularly motivated to find said evidence myself. Perhaps if it would result in some kind of Mothra-ZomZom shipshine by Yotomoe.

          So if the male (or really anybody) is ‘topping’ or just wanting to feel dominant, then they may request their partner engage in orally stimulating the top’s genitalia in a sexual manner while the partner maintains a submissive stance, typically on their knees while the recipient is standing or sitting. Ergo, the joke being that knee-pads imply (in that mindset) the preparedness of the wearer to assume said position of submission and service.
          Falling to one’s knees has been a sign of submission throughout history, with conquerors demanding show of fealty through kneeling. Even in the act of knighting someone, the commoner falls to their knees before their ‘better’ and then after knighting, rises to their feet, showing how they have been elevated to a higher station.

          Subjects have famously included an anti-DnD comic which demonstrated that Chick had no idea how DnD even worked (and even in the comic, DnD isn’t actually evil; the villain is using the game to get at vulnerable kids to recruit them into her cult, but she also could’ve done that with basketball, so). For the most part, though, they’re extremely hateful. Largely targeted at religious people who are not Jack Chick and/or queer people. Also women, though usually not explicitly as the subject.

          I’m not opposed to people using faith to turn their lives around. It does happen, though it’s never as quick and simple as he shows. Or to God forgiving even horrific sins if the person has truly repented – which he would know being God. None of that should change the real world consequences or protections we try to put in place.

      Willis refers to her by her prefered name at the time of the events from book 10 (does it for the magnets as well), probably as a way to more easily distinguish the current version with the specific Billie from book 10. He does that to the other characters as well with “hostage Joyce” or (in the past) “battle ready Sal” and so on, which may or may not be preferable…

        Dinosauria is a monophyletic group. There are no “lizard” dinosaurs. Lizards are squamates, completely different branch.
        I guess you are referring to subgroups like saurischia and ornithischia, the name of which translates, confusingly, to “lizard-hipped” and “bird-hipped”, the same way “dinosaur” means “scary lizard”.

        The short reason for this mess and why it doesn’t actually matter, is that names are just names. they shouldn’t be taken literally.

      I do wonder if she’s not overcompensating for the winter break, since school seems like a place she’s maybe become more outwardly expressive than she was at home. She started off very reserved and her parents seem to be really quiet and calm, so I imagine her back-home life is pretty “dull” when compared to school, and she’s maybe working off some pent-up social expressiveness.

      Their teeth were 47 meters long and razor-sharp. Of course they couldn’t tear denim. Only extremely mild torque can do that.

        The touque is worn above denim. It is not an instrument of severing denim, and in fact is more likely to attract it.

    Dina imagines herself a dinosaur, but the reality is those teeth of hers are probably weakened from a diet of breakfast cereals. If she truly bit through denim she might have to see a dentist since I estimate a few of her teeth might be loose. Either that or Amber is still moonlighting as Amazi-Girl and now wears tear away clothes for emergency purposes. I know this is being played for laughs, but I’m finding this a little too cartoonish. Ruth doesn’t care if Dina assaults Mary and Amber deliberately got Dina involved to avoid talking to Walky, but the next person might not be so tolerant of this behavior and will report it to an authority figure who will do something about it.
