Sorry for the tardiness! I was dumb apparently three weeks in the past and forgot to date a strip for Friday. Instead, I dated it for Monday. And, yay, that means everything henceforth is dated forward a day. Grargh!
Anyway, fixed now.
Also also, forget me having a table at BotCon. Long story short, California is stupid and you'll have to find me in person to buy my wares. Or just say hello! Look for the short dumpy dude in glasses wearing the red luau shirt.

Hrm, I see the title, tags, and can comment. But no comic. This is strange.
Dedlok
It’s a special strip. It’s visible to everyone except the stupid and incompetent.
Mirenheart
But im only one of those. so why cant I see it?
Rognik
But the emporer HAS no clothes!
Oh, wait. They’re here in the closet.
Loki
Is the Emperor gay in this universe?
Lokitsu
No, but he is secretly Amazi-Girl.
Lady Ray
No, he’s Ultra-Car.
Mirenheart
I SEE NOTHING.
This makes me sad.

Don’t worry, something else makes you look stupid. It’s your FAAACE!
nothri
Oh snap.
Joebo
Ummm, there is a serious lack of a comic here at the moment. Fix please?
yourfaaaaace
This “fixed” claim seriously lacks evidence.
yourfaaaaace
and now it appears. way to make me look like an ass, Willis.
dchorror
Rageblush!
Maybe Dorothy is hoping for a bit of Lois Lane/Superman play?
dchorror
And I apparently missed the lack of the comic by five minutes. Yay?
A random reader
With this comic, Dorothy being paired with Amber (even if it turns out as one-sided) is much more appealing and distracting me from my unhealthy appreciation of AmberXMike.
Mr. Cat
Oh great Cheese, give us the comic!
Mr. Cat
Right when I comment, it appears. Thank you, great and powerful Cheese!
Lesharo
Behold…the power…of Cheese
Joebo
good lord, was that really why the character was called the cheese? Have I been blind to that this whole freaking time?
Boringamus
Umm, Danny…
I think you got something on your face.
Henry
On his FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCE?

Why will this retarded meme never die?

The nature of memes is to never die. If you don’t like the memes, stop reading the comments.

Why will your FAAAAAAAAACE never die?

Wait until its powerlevel is over 9000, then claim its base so that it now belongs to us, but sure that it is not a Trap!

Try that.
Qaxis
Little does Dorothy know, she IS Amazi-Girl.
Plasma Mongoose
Are you saying that Amazi-Girl is one of Dotty’s split personalities??
Dedlok
That must mean Ultra Car is alson one of Dorothy’s split personalities.
Because everyone knows Ultra Car is secretly Amazi-Girl.
dchorror
But we haven’t seen her throw a pie yet.
Daeva
I don’t think we’re quite ready for the awesome majest of the Amazi-Pie just yet.
Plasma Mongoose
Holy shit! I think Amber might be hiding something serious.
I think I finally figured it out peeps, Amazi-Girl is using her disguise powers to make herself look like Amber, which leads to the obvious question: WHERE IS THE REAL AMBER?
dchorror
Is there a real Amber?
Plasma Mongoose
WHOA! That. Is a scary question you just asked. :O
dchorror
I try my best.
Aizat
Amber is Amazi-Girl’s butler.
Plasma Mongoose
If Amber wears a suit, you could call her Amazi-Girl’s Battle Butler, otherwise she would be more of a Ninja Maid.
NF
DUN DUN DUUUUUU…
OmegaDez
Who is the girl in your Gravatar? She’s cuute!
Plasma Mongoose
Calice is her name, she is a character I thought up utilising the DoA art style.
But if you meant NF’s Grav instead, that’s Sal.
Undrave
Now Amber needs to come up with a story of how she met Amazi-Girl before Dorothy can ask her!
Hahaha Dorothy going crazy is funny!
lord of dance
wut do you mean? she already came up with a story in panel two. It seems pretty air tight to me
Plasma Mongoose
Dotty will still want more details from Amber later on as expected of a proper journalist.
Undrave
Yeah this isn’t Billie.

*sqwah* Danny is very much adorable when he’s angry.
brasca1
Get down with your bad self Danny.
Aizat
Yes Danny. Let the hatred flow through you and embrace the true power of the Dark Side, mwahahahahahahahaha!
Kelly
Disturbingly great avatar for that comment.
Plasma Mongoose
I just imagined your Gravatar as Anti-Joyce.
Ridureyu
You know, this always happens. You begin talking to somebody Of The Other Gender (and amenable persuasion), and then several of yoru friends just sorta barrel in from out of nowhere and go into embarrassment-lock. It’s usually not even an intentional cockblock, they just feel randomly forced to go “HYUUURRRRRR!!!” and belch in her face until she runs away.
Rognik
I’m torn between Dorothy being Lois Lane, in that she wants to report on Amazi-Girl, or Agent Mulder, in that she wants to believe. “Rescue me! I’m the one who believes in you!”
ryan
lois mulder. she wants to believe she can still report on amazi-girl.
goatman95111
I find Dorothy far more frustrating with each additional strip. She doesn’t care about Danny, she doesn’t care about friends, or anything beyond bolstering her resume and building her status as some Mercedes driving liberal drinking her fruity drinks in New York.
Probably won’t even buy an AMG… maybe the sissy little SLK 230…

Okay, your post starts off with some pretty legitimate complaints, and then kind of starts going into some weird prejudice against various types of car, beverages, and political persuasion. What’s more confusing than the obvious question of what exactly is wrong with any of those things is that I’m pretty sure we haven’t actually seen anything indicating her preferences in beverages or automobile. You’d have to take some pretty severe leaps in logic to get a political alignment out of what we’ve seen of her too.
So basically I’m just confused where any of this is coming from. The Mercedes, the fruity drinks, the association with the Liberal party. Did I forget the chapter where we learned all this?
MO
It was in an extra-special, subscription-only chapter of Dumbing of Age. You missed out on a lot! (I don’t want to spoil it, but…Joe may or may not have a certain secret-superhero-identity.)
goatman95111
It was implied during the first day of the gender studies class Dorothy was labeled a “liberal elite” by Joyce. Besides that, her constant talk of wanting to get into a better ivy league school, putting her career over any interest in people, and the snobbery at which she approaches everyone implies she’s a typical spoiled East Coast liberal kid from a rich liberal family (likely Boston).
As for the car, most women professionals, if they have the money, buy a Mercedes Benz. Buying a Lexus or a Toyota Avalon is typically seen as an insult to any woman who makes over $80k annually, because most middle-aged schoolteachers’ dream car always winds up being a… you guessed it… fully loaded Toyota Avalon.
Did I mention I worked in used car sales and consumer collections?

I want a girl who knows what’s best.

Interesting. I appreciate your perspective, and can at least understand your reasoning better now.
Just one thing. The only Joyce line I could find during that class that resembled the “Liberal Elite” is when she said her mom had told her that Dexter and Monkey Master cultivates a culture of snarkiness.
http://www.dumbingofage.com/2010/comic/book-1/02-uphill-from-here/throw/
Joyce is… hardly a reliable source on most things to begin with, and an offhand comment about a show someone has enjoyed as a pass time wouldn’t be much to go on even on a normal day, but even she presents it mostly just as something she heard once rather than concrete fact.
Rest is cool. Not looking to argue. The joyce thing just seems odd though.
Lokitsu
This is the comic in question:
http://www.dumbingofage.com/2011/comic/book-1/04-the-bechdel-test/indicator/
Two points though– Joyce is obviously joking. And even if she wasn’t, to her “Liberal Elite” is probably anyone who doesn’t watch Fox News
taekwondogirl
I think your lack of empathy is showing. You have empathy for other characters but not Dorothy. I’m not certain why you have this particular bias but you do. Perhaps you should recognize it and that Dorothy has her own feelings.
She was stuck for months wondering what to do about Danny. She had the guilt riding on her that he’s not thinking about his future, just about *their* future. Do you have any idea how much of a burden that sort of thing is? After carrying that for the entire summer, it kind of stings to see someone just fling themselves at a new person.
Biker Matt
This is something I actually care about, so I’m gonna slink out of lurk mode for this, starting with the backing for my opinion.
From Dorothy’s perspective, she’s abandoned him from the point in which she announced the college she was going to, and isn’t anything she thinks is relevant to his pursuits, hence her surprise when she finds out he’s going there AFTER he’s accepted, and forfitted everywhere else.
From his perspective, he sees this: “since I’m not going to ever dump you,” (which she didn’t until they met in college), “You’re abandoning me if you choose any other college.”
Having no better options, he goes just to find out (it’s as good a college as any), and once set, he decides to build connections here, rather than agonise.
back to her, well, now we’re caught between her acting according to what I said he believes (which makes her dumping him reprehensible, but the statement quite reasonable), or according to what I said she believes (which makes her dumping him almost admirable, but her statement downright vile, as an attempt to hurt him further).
Dr. Worm
And you know what, let’s just go straight to the fact that you’re using “liberal” like it’s a four-letter word. Don’t think for a second that you can get away with labeling half the population of the US, if we’re just talking about the US, as “them” like it’s some kind of inherently terrible thing to agree with anything not espoused by Fox News. Not trying to start a political argument in the future, but please watch what you say and how you say it.
What am I even thinking? This isn’t gonna help. You’re gonna yell at me now, and use words like “typical” and “all” and stereotype this, stereotype that, everyone who voted for Obama is a selfish, stuck up ass who thinks they’re better than me and how dare anyone challenge me to think of them as being people too?
…
I know I’ve had a bad day and I’m irritable. But it does warrant saying. Don’t be a bigot, goatman59111. And don’t expect any sympathy for your statements from anyone who personally knows a member of the groups you’re stereotyping.
I’m done with this one.
MM
Allow me to unleash my own stereotypical liberal elite side for a moment and point out that it is unlikely such a clan would have left their beloved East Coast and ended up in Indiana in the first place. Dorothy’s just a small-town Midwestern girl who thinks she needs a big-name university to validate her. (Also, her family can’t be from Boston if she’s dead-set on *Yale*.)
