    I know the dress doesn’t look much like it besides the color but that was my immediate reaction.

      Glad to see that I wasn’t the only one who thought of that, too.
      I think it’s partially the demeanor, though. Joyce appears so shy in this picture, and that’s basically how Belle behaved for the first half or so of her stay in the enchanted castle.
      Then again, YMMV.

    I think I’m kind of impressed that she is able to leave Joe speechless. Has anyone been able to do that before? Come even close? Don’t tell me Joe is all talk and no follow-through.

    Also, take a good look at the second, lesser stripe there. Who knows when we’ll ever see it again, if ever. Not sure even a vest over that shirt would be enough to catch up.

    Am I the only one who does NOT think that Joe suddenly fell in love or grew morals?

    I think that two things just happened: 1) He was, yes, very surprised that Joyce appeared dressed up in something appealing (and shoulderless!), and 2) he realized he was suddenly grossly *underdressed*. And the problem isn’t impressing Joyce, who clearly doesn’t care; it’s everyone else. Next to Joyce, Joe now looks like boorish schlub, to everyone else. (Including the ladies.)

    In recent comics he made a point that his ‘guns’ were all the outfit he needed. He was just proven wrong.

    Admittedly, she’s barefoot in the original picture, but now I feel really really old.

    Anyhow, like the cartoonist said, check out deviantart. Lots and lots of PSL-inducing imagery of many of these characters in the other universe.
