THIS is the scene I’d been hoping for since the whole storyline started. This is the scene I thought was put in jeopardy by the presence of toedad. This strip is the moment of IMMENSE catharsis that I have been hoping.
The problems aren’t solved and the spectre of toedad still looms large over them, but while I still can, I want to say:
I would’ve thought that in the last panel, Becky would look more…I dunno, HAPPY about having an awesome girlfriend. Instead she repeats the phrase with a great big frown. 😕

omg yayyyyy I know. I particularly love how the cartoony/anime convention of the eye thru the hair looks in the last frame. SO GOOD!!! This is fabulous <3<3<3 my cold dead heart may have reawakened!!
Have you ever watched Doctor Who? this guy couldn’t arrive when he intended to if someone held a gun to his head. Especially not when he’s got the randomiser on.

I watched an episode that involved an awesome gay woman with a servant she was clearly banging, some sort of guy who was from a warrior culture that usually won its interstellar conquests so hard they went out of their way to be sporting, and diseases in victorian london, the Doctor showing up at some sort of paranormal research thing with the gal who was his companion, and a martian on a soviet ship. Oh, also something about four brothers, 3 of whom were evil, and they ran a space junking business. The Doctor’s timeliness didn’t come up much. I just assumed time control meant he could show up on time but then I suppose that wouldn’t be funny.

He gets it right about half the time. Factors to his being wrong include:
1) The Tardis is actually meant to be piloted by six people at once, and the Doctor does kind of a shit job of replacing all of them, especially since he’d jury rigged the console with things like hammers and bits of string.
2) The Tardis is ancient, and was an antique even when he first got it.
3) It actually has a mind of its own, and even when it doesn’t take him where he wants to go, it usually takes him where he needs to be.
4) He threw the manual into a supernova for disagreeing with him. He also scraped through Time Lord school with a 51% on the second try.
That Damn Rat
He isn’t time control, just the opposite actually he is, or was rather, a renegade. And yes Vastra and Jenny are awesome, one of the few good elements of the otherwise dire modern series.
Though I am a bit conflicted on the Sontaran comic relief, on the one hand his actually funny, on the other hand it’s sad what the new series have done to the Sontaran race, these guys managed to invade Gallifrey before the Daleks ever did.

Wasn’t the Sontaran invasion only possible because the time lords temporarily dropped their defenses….
While the Daleks fought right through them.

Ehhh, it seemed just fine and dandy to me. But I’m not trying to judge it against the past or the future iterations. If I were the sort to watch things instead of play video games I’d probably watch it.

I think the Doctor mentioned at one point he disabled the Randomizer since he wasn’t actively trying to hide from the Black Guardian anymore after the ‘Key to Time’ season was over.
Romana said something akin to ‘how will we be able to tell the difference compared to before’ as she wasn’t impressed with the Doctor’s handling of the TARDIS as is.
