      Interesingly, Amazi-Girl wears an eyemask, unlike Superman. Her alter-ego, Ultra-Car, is definitely Clark Kenting hardcore though.

      It’s legitimate depending on how well the person knows you. At my high school when I stopped wearing glasses some people that had been in classes with me but didn’t really interact directly with me thought I was new.

        The effect is best if you’re a guy with a beard, long hair and glasses. Simply shave, get a haircut and remove your glasses and you’re completely anonymous, at least for a while.
        It’s also helpful if a girl rejects you.

      Hmm. When I read the strip, I wasn’t thinking about secret identities – I thought Amber was trying to put him off what she thought was an advance by trying to get him to remember the phrase “Men never make passes at girls who wear glasses.” Maybe I just over-thought the content 🙂

    So, I think the glasses thing means I lean more toward her being familiar because she’s the dark-haired Dorothy than actually recognizing her as Amazi-Girl.
